PSA Compliance
As of February 1st 2017 by law all locksmiths in the Republic Of Ireland must be registered with and licensed by the Private Security Authority Of Ireland (PSA). It is an offence for any individual or company to perform locksmith duties as outlined by the PSA without a PSA licence. It is also an offence for any individual or company to hire an unlicensed locksmith.
All locksmiths listed on the newlock.ie website are required to hold their own individual PSA licence. All work undertaken by locksmiths listed on this website is done under each locksmith’s respective PSA licence. Each of our locksmiths must undergo all the required vetting, auditing and assessment as prescribed by the PSA , this insures that you the customer, can be fully satisfied that your locksmith is legally permitted to carry out his/her locksmith duties.
Newlock will never permit an unlicensed locksmith on our website. Some of the locksmiths listed on our site employ their own staff & trainees , in accordance with the regulations, these individuals are not required to hold their own PSA licence, but instead perform their duties under the PSA licence of their employer. Any violation of the PSA’s codes & regulations by these individuals would constitute a breach of their employers licence.
Please note: Locksmiths in Northern Ireland & UK are not subject to licencing.

Any violation of the PSA’s codes & regulations by Iain Monroe would constitute a breach of his employers licence.
